Picture of Shirleen's blossoming trees. We have only 58 miles to go to Mary Ann and Steve’s. Down I75, Shirleen doing her Sudoku, I watching the scenery go by. Well here we are at Sumterville Florida , notice the spelling is different? And it is also 20 to far south. I was thinking their place was just off I75 but not. So turn around and head back north for the right turn off the highway. As we travel on, we realize we still don’t have a clue how to get there. Ah, there are some guys polishing up an ambulance, they should know how to direct us. I pull up and say, we don’t have a medical emergency but are lost and could you help. With a big grin he said sure. We were within a mile of the right highway, and a little to the south. As we passed Grumpy Jerry’s place I recognized the road. Gave Steve a shout and he meet us at the front gate.
Summerfelt Florida
Finally there, an hour late, but time for lunch. Mary Ann had here banana bread ready along with sandwich material, fruit and veggies. Ah, good lunch. To wear off the lunch we went for a walk. We didn’t have to wear boots, winter coat nor cap, just shorts and a T-shirt.
We now went to the Villages for Mardi Gras celebration. Wow what get-ups. Looked like the people would on
Bourbon Street in New Orleans . Some throwing beads from the second floor balcony. There we meet a guy from cities and another passing by from Lake Crystal , Steve chatted. We walked around the square taking pictures.
Bourbon Street
Again time for a meal – at Margarita Republic restaurant, I thought an appetizer would do us good, deep fried alligator, conch fritter, grouper pieces and hot shrimp. For dinner Mary Ann’s clam chowder in a bread bowl was tasty as all the meal was. Steve a grouper sandwich, a thick slice of grouper done to perfection, Shirleen had a beef, mushroom and fried onion sandwich, I, had the house special, fish and chips with crispy fries.
Above find Bootsy and his girl friends!!!! Well another walk thru the square. As we pass the ball rowing carnie, the one I had said earlier, ‘watch later the people will be doing this’, foreshadowing?
So Steve and I played against each others score. 5 balls for a buck, he won with a tie breaking 10 points. Actually I threw it so he could win. If you read his blog, he would say he won fair and square.
Back to the house for a nice evening wind down and nighty nite. jerr
